National Weather Service Confirms Tornado Near Westwego
An early morning thunderstorm produced a weak tornado that impacted the Westwego area of New Orleans.

The National Weather Service reports the tornado developed at 5:20 a.m. on Tuesday, December 14th. The intermittent damage that occurred suggested a tornado width of 25 to 30 yards, path length of 1/4 mile, and an EF-0 rating. All reported damage occurred along the West Bank Expressway near Victory Lane.

-Large tree limbs snapped

-2 wooden power poles snapped and power lines downed
