  3. New Orleans Woman Sentenced To Over 3 Years For Passport Fraud And Defrauding The LRA, SBA And FEMA

    RUTH LESLIE GOODMAN,  a/k/a Ruth Goodman, a/k/a Meagan McKinney, age 48, a resident of New Orleans, was sentenced today in federal court by U. S. District Judge Helen Berrigan to over three years (37 months) imprisonment for theft of government funds, mail fraud, false statements to FEMA and possession of a falsely obtained Canadian passport, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.  In addition, GOODMAN was ordered to pay full restitution in the amount of $476, 904.00, forfeiture of her personal assets and ordered to serve three (3) years of supervised release following imprisonment, during which time the defendant will be under federal supervision and risks additional imprisonment should she vioalate any terms of the release.

  17. Gretna Man Sentenced To 10 Years Imprisonment For Receipt Of Child Pornography

    TONY TEMPLET, 45, of Gretna, Louisiana, was sentenced today in federal court before U. S. District Judge Mary Ann Vial Lemmon to ten (10) years (120 months) in prison for receipt of child pornography, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.   TEMPLET was also ordered to serve a five (5) year term of supervised release during which time he will be under federal supervision and risks additional imprisonment should he violate any terms of the release, as well as register as a sex offender.
