Chukwuemeka Ndubuisi Okafor, abbreviated as Emeka Okafor, is a player for the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats, where he plays power forward and center for the team. He joined the Charlotte Bobcats in the 2004 NBA Draft, selected second overall in the draft. Okafor became only the third player from an expansion team to win NBA Rookie of the Year honor. Prior to joining the Bobcats, Okafor played for the University of Connecticut Huskies as a forward/center from 2001-04.
