  19. Police Looking for Theft Suspects Targeting the Elderly

    On September 8, 2011 at approximately 6 pm, in the 2300 block of Frenchmen Street, an elderly man let someone in his house who claimed to be with an agency that fixes homes and gives away free furniture.  Once inside, the suspect walked through the house identifying items he was going to remove from the house and later replace.  When the elderly man went to answer his phone in another room, he came back to see the suspect running out of the house. Then he realized money was missing from his wallet which he had left on his living room table.  The victim described the suspect as an African-American man, 5'9&quot; tall, 145 pounds, wearing a beige cap, brown shirt and brown pants.
