  1. Murder Plot Foiled

    The Slidell Police Department arrested 48 year-old Terry Hoyt of New Orleans for attempting to kill a man with whom his wife had engaged in an extramarital affair.  Around 11:00pm on Monday, August 8, 2011, the Slidell Police Department received a 911 call from a woman who stated that her husband was trying to kill her and her boyfriend.  The woman also stated that her husband was chasing her around the parking lot of the TA Truck Stop with a gun.  Slidell Police officers arrived within one minute of the 911 call and were able to apprehend Terry Hoyt, as he was attempting to flee the scene.
