    On Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at 12:00 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office Deputies arrested Donna Breaud, 42, of Reserve for felony theft.  Breaud, a deputy with the Sheriff's Office with 15 years of service, was assigned to the Civil Administration Division where she worked as a clerk primarily collecting fines for traffic violations.

    Starting January 8, the Jefferson  Highway overpass will close to traffic in preparation  for its demolition on January 10. The demolition is necessary to  build the new signalized intersection at Clearview Parkway and Jefferson Highway,  which is part of the Huey P. Long Bridge Widening Project. Motorists should  adjust travel times as traffic delays will be imminent in this area.
