Concordia University Chicago, formerly Concordia College, is a small liberal arts institution affiliated with the Lutheran Church. It was founded in 1864 in west suburban Addison as a teachers college. In 1913, it moved to west suburban River Forest, where it remains. In addition to its teaching program, Concordia now has a College of Business, a College of Arts and Sciences and a School of Graduate Studies. There are about 1,100 undergraduate and 3,000 graduate students.
