If you're looking for a sexier smile like your favorite celeb, it's 2010, so ladies, you've got options!
Our celebrity makeup artist Donita Sather recommends the following lip plumpers:
Lipfusion XL: This new plumper promises to moisturize and plump overnight, and leave you with more luscious lips when you wake up in the morning. Can be purchased at Sephora for $50.
Lipfusion Infatuation: A liquid, multi-action lip plumper and stain that comes in several colors. Claims it's the first liquid lip color with Amplifat technology to increase and maintain body fat where we actually want it. J $29 at Sephora.
Sugar Lips: (Donita says this won't be found in most stores, and is usually only sold to professional hair and makeup artists.) Contact Donita at donitacoda@gmail.com. Product sells for around $20.
Lip Venom: $16 at Sephora. The original Lip Venom is a transparent gloss that enhances the natural color and shape of the lips by increasing circulation with a spicy, tingly blend of essential oils including cinnamon and ginger. Lip Venom now comes in different colors.
She also recommends using a neutral liner like Spice by Mac to line the lips, followed by a gloss to give the illusion that lips are bigger. She says make sure to blend in the liner, and never use lipstick directly from the tube, use a lip brush instead. For lips with lines, or that feather easily, she recommends sticking with the stains instead of lipstick which will run more, and follow with a gloss on top. She loves the Lipfusion color/plumper/glosses in one, especially for older lips, since the stain shouldn't run into the lines.
Also, if your lips are really thin, try to stay away from really dark colors, because they will make your lips look even thinner.
For more information on getting your lips injected with fillers like Restalayne or Juvaderm, or fat injections to the lips, you can contact the Dermatologist in tonight's story, Dr. Patrick Coleman at 504-455-3180, or visit their website at www.liposuctionneworleans.com.
