“We will actually be hitting 70 miles an hour on the front straightaways, and it's not that 70 miles an hour sounds fast, it's how fast you get there,” says driver Dan Evans, “These trucks, they're 1500 horse power, 10,000lbs, 11 feet high, 12 feet wide, they're a handful.”

“Every kid plays with those Hot Wheels toys when their young and this is bringing that to life,” says Angie Richison with Feld Entertainment, “You'll get to see them race at the beginning of the show and then after it's no hold bar, freestyle.”

The show returns to the Superdome following a one year hiatus thanks to renovations, and boy are fans smiling; this cultural phenomenon has a following of more than 4,000,000 people.

It's a family friendly event that transforms the Superdome for one night of thrills!

Advanced Auto Parts Monster Jam opens to the public at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Superdome, but for the hardcore there's a pit party starting at 2pm. Tickets are still available.
