Ingredients
1 loaf of sliced bread Blue Plate mayonnaise ½ pound of shredded lettuce 2 medium tomatoes (sliced) 12 slices of bacon 8 slices of turkey breast (use smoked turkey breast if you'd like.) 8 slices of Amreican cheese 8 slices of John Morrel easy cut ham 8 slices of Swiss cheese
NOTE: one loaf of sliced bread should make about 8 club sandwiches if you use the end pieces too!
Directions
1. Cook bacon the way you normally do it, in a skillet, in an oven or in a microwave. After the bacon is cooled, break each slice in half. 2. Meanwhile, prep the rest of your ingredients by laying them out in a work area large enough to assemble your clubs. 3. Begin toasting the sliced bread and stockpile these in your work area. 4. When the bacon is ready, begin assembling your club sandwiches, three slices of bread per club. a. Spread mayonnaise on bread. (I like to put mayonnaise on both sides of the slice that goes into the center of the club.) b. Lay on some shredded lettuce, a tomato slice or two, three pieces of bacon, a slice of turkey breast and a slice of American cheese on the first toasted bread slice. c. Now, lay on the second slice of toasted bread, some more shredded lettuce, another slice of tomato, a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese. d. Cover the end with the 3rd slice of bread, then, using a knife, cut the sandwiches in quarters. Stick an extra long toothpick through each quarter. Compliment these club sandwiches with Zapp's Potato Chips, choose your favorite flavor.
Great for lunch, parties, Saints Football Games, serve your guests during half time or throw a Saints victory party after the game.
