St. Bernard Man Robbed, Shot In Drug Deal
VIOLET, La. - A St. Bernard Parish man who was robbed of $3,600 as he tried to buy marijuana returned to the area later to confront the robbers and was shot in the leg, authorities said.

Byron Sakobie, 26, of the St. Bernard community, was not seriously injured, St. Bernard Parish deputies said.

Deputies said Sakobie allegedly tried to buy marijuana in Violet on Saturday, and later returned to look for the men who robbed him.

Deputies said Sakobie was hit in the leg when a shot was fired at the vehicle in which he was sitting.
