Judge Postpones Sentencing For Bush Death Threat
Sentencing for a Louisiana man who pleaded guilty to threatening to kill former President George W. Bush has been postponed so he can submit to a psychiatric examination at a federal facility.

U.S. District Judge Kurt Engelhardt rescheduled 45-year-old Gregory Broussard's sentencing hearing for Oct. 21.

Broussard was scheduled to be sentenced last week, but his lawyer asked for the delay so he can be evaluated in a federal psychiatric facility.

A plea agreement recommends Broussard serve six months in prison with credit for time already served followed by six months confinement in a halfway house, but Engelhardt isn't bound by that deal.

Broussard was arrested earlier this year after a social worker told authorities that he threatened to kill Bush while being treated in a hospital emergency room.
