Weekend Of Sports Means Big $$$ For New Orleans

From the balcony at the Royal Sonesta Bourbon Street looks crowded on this Friday night, and the party is just getting started.

The New Orleans Convention of Visitors Bureau says 250,000 people are expected to flood New Orleans, most of them here for the BCS Championship where the LSU Tigers face Alabama. The wave of sports fans has left most of the city's 38,000 rooms occupied.

The influx of sports fans began with the Sugar Bowl on Monday. The New Orleans Convention of Visitors Bureau says this week the city should rake in $400,000.
