Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old unidentified man. The incident occurred shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday in the 4100 block of Washington Avenue. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.
“The victim was found outside of a red pickup truck. He’d been shot multiple times and died on the scene,” said NOPD Officer Frank B. Robertson.
According to police reports, the man was previously arrested on several charges including possession of marijuana and auto theft.
Robertson said investigators are in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify suspects, as well as a motive.
