Man Booked With Soliciting Girl On Myspace

HAHNVILLE, La.—

A Metairie man who allegedly propositioned a 15-year-old Montz girl on MySpace has been booked with improper solicitation of a juvenile.

But when St. Charles Parish detectives went to arrest Michael G. Meany Jr., sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Dwayne LaGrange said they discovered that he already was in custody in New Orleans in a similar crime.

The Times-Picayune reports bail for the St. Charles charge was set at $100,000.

It wasn't immediately clear if Meany has an attorney.
