Saints fans are gearing up for Monday night football! The Saints will take on the New York Giants inside the Mercedes Benz Superdome at 7:30. And if you're one of the thousands of people with a ticket, you need to leave you're house early.
Officials are yet again enhancing security measures at the dome. New security screenings beginning Monday night will include hand held metal detecting wands and pat down searches. This will continue for the remaining four home games.
It should be an interesting matchup. Both teams are in the race for their respective divisions, with the Saints 7 - 3 and leading the NFC South. The Giants are tied for first in the NFC East.
The Saints and Giants have met 25 times, with New York holding a 14 - 11 advantage.
But playing in the Superdome could prove to be an advantage for the Saints who are 4 - 0 at home this season. The Giants however have struggled on the road, 3 - 2.
The last time the teams met was in October of 2009 and the Saints pulled a 48 - 27 victory over the giants, which of course was the year New Orleans won the Super Bowl.
