Pain Perdu
Pan pair do – lost bread, (better known as French Toast)

Ingredients

4 eggs
1 pint of half & half
½ cup of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon of Vanilla extract
½ loaf of Zip French Bread (sliced) stale or fresh
butter
Syrup (your favorite brand)

Ingredients

1. In a bowl, beat eggs, powdered sugar, half & half and vanilla extract.
2. Meanwhile, place a non stick skillet on medium/low heat and coat bottom of the skillet with butter.
3. Soak several slices of bread in your mixture. Then, flip to soak opposite side of bread until the bread is coated through and through.
4. Place the coated slices of bread in the skillet. (Avoid spilling excess batter on the skillet surface.) Brown one side of bread, then using a spatula, flip the bread and brown the other side. (It is okay to continue flipping the bread until both sides are evenly browned.)
5. Wipe out skillet with paper towel after each batch.
6. Repeat steps 3, 4 and 5 until you run out of mixture or bread.
7. Serve hot with margarine or butter and your favorite syrup.
