Grandmothers Speak Out Against Violence In New Orleans
After the shooting death of toddler Jeremy Galmon, pastors led a rally a A.L. Davis Park to continue a momentum created after the child died. People got very involved in trying to solve the murder case for the little boy, and now pastors would like to see the community continue to stay involved. They are also reaching out to grandmothers to assume their roles as the matriarch of the family and return to the days when young people really listened to grandmother's words of wisdom on matters. The rally offered grandmothers with murdered loved ones a platforms to share their stories and offered comfort and encouragement to others.

Grandmothers Speak Out Against Violent Crime
A rally in memory of murdered toddler Jeremy Galmon brought together many grandmothers and family members of murder victims at A.L. Davis Park in Central City. Pastors are trying to continue the momentum of people coming forward with information, as they did for the toddler killed. It was also a platform for grandmothers to speak up and assume the role of family matriarch with leadership they held more prominently in years past.
