Pictures: Betsy's Pancakes After Verdict
The family of Betsy McDaniel didn't sleep after the verdict in the Bryant Boudoin trial in Jefferson Parish. Boudoin was found guilty of second degree murder in the death of 72 year old Betsy McDaniel. Her family was elated, and felt justice was served. The verdict came in the wee hours of the morning, so they didn't sleep before they opened the restaurant Betsy's Pancakes. They say they feel a burden was lifted. Boudoin will be formally sentenced next week on January 26th.

Betsy McDaniel's family is relieved a Jefferson Parish jury found Bryant Boudoin guilty of second degree murder in the 72 year old woman's death. She was severely beaten during a robbery in her Marrero home in 2008, and left for dead. She died soon after. Her family runs the Mid City restaurant named after her.
