NEW ORLEANS - "I never underestimate the great fans in New Orleans and how fast tickets go," says Saints VP of Ticket and Suite Sales Mike Stanfield. He says that Saints passion -- that get your ticket at any-cost attitude -- doesn't guaranteed a seat in the dome. "We did have some people that bought tickets off of other websites that came to the game last night and seats weren't any good."

Although New Orleans police didn't make any arrests of ticket counterfeiters last night, Stanfield says beware of buying tickets on-line or on the street. "They're selling them over face value. Generally, they'll buy the tickets ahead of time and as the team wins, the prices go up and they'll be able to increase those values because the demand is there," says NOPD Officer Claude Flot. NOPD says two scalpers were arrested last night.

Sanfield says in order to get Saints tickets, the team administration recommends one website to go to -- theirs. And Stanfield says they won't rule out "ticket-less" sales in the future. "Anything you can do to enhance the fans experience coming to the game and make it safer and more reliable, we're open to suggestions."

In the meantime -- it may be just as tough to get tickets next year too. "There's a wait list of 50,000 people for next year already," says Stanfield.

Although tickets are sold out for games here -- there are tickets available for the game against the Rams in St. Louis in a couple of weeks. Go to www.neworleanssaints.com and click on the NFL Ticket Exchange icon.
