The count includes Louisiana products and those from other states that are exported through Louisiana ports.
All of the top export categories had major drops. Agricultural products fell 27 percent in value, petroleum and coal products dropped by more than half, chemicals declined by 27 percent and processed foods fell 48 percent.
Principal markets for products exported through Louisiana were China, Japan and Mexico.
