Oil Disaster Victims Get Helping Hand

The international hunger relief organization Feed The Children is helping victims of the oil disaster.

Volunteers unloaded boxes of food and supplies in Lafitte this afternoon to hand out to residents. Droves of people showed up.

Feed The Children gave out 400 boxes today to equip people with enough essentials to last them a week. The organization will be at the South Lafourche Public Library in Cut Off Thursday at 10 a.m.

Friday they will be handing out boxes at the House of Refuge in St. Bernard Parish at 10 a.m. as well.

Come Friday, Feed The Children will have handed out 2,000 boxes.
