New Orleans Jewelry Designer, Eileen Bevis Bennett, designed this new necklace to raise funds to help the Gulf Coast recover after the recent oil spill.
The proceeds from the sale of this necklace will go to The Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund, which is administered by the Greater New Orleans Foundation. The necklace is $30.00 and is a small bottle pendant filled with sand and an "S.O.S." message.
It has black Bygone Beads from Bennett's vintage Czechoslovakian Mardi Gras bead collection and pewter Louisiana and Gulf animal charms (shown with a pelican). It hangs on a black ribbon necklace.
Each purchase will come with the Bygone Bead history card and some information on the organization the funds will go to.
