METAIRIE, La. -
At approximately 1:30 AM, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office received information concerning a subject shot in the 500 block of Richard Street in River Ridge.
First responding officers discovered the body of Anthony E. Paul, 23, lying next to a vehicle across the street from 525 Richard Street. Paul had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Paul has prior arrests for narcotics violations, resisting arrest, and parole violation. He is also a registered sex offender.
