HOUMA -
Houma Police were dispatched to Eliza near Levron Street in West Houma reference to a shooting shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday evening.
Upon arrival officers discovered a male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the stomach. The officers rendered first aid and the victim was transported to Terrebonne General Hospital by Acadian Ambulance where he later died due to the gunshot wound he suffered in the shooting. The victim was identified as Frederick M. Teague, W/M, 10/20/66, of Houma, LA.
Houma Police Detectives during the investigation recovered empty shell casings from the scene.
The investigation is in its infant stages as witness information and evidence are still being gathered. Therefore, anyone with information is asked to call Houma Police at 873-6371.
