NEW ORLEANS—
Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating the shooting death of an unidentified male shortly after 9 p.m., near the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Dodt Street.According to investigators, Seventh District officers responded to a call of gunfire and upon arrival, located the victim lying on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the head. He was pronounced dead on scene.
Currently, investigators are gathering evidence and information to determine the motive and person(s) responsible. Homicide Detective Timothy Bender is in charge of the investigation. Crimestoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person(s) responsible.
