Chalmette - Former First Lady Laura Bush visited Chalmette High School Friday to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.
Students shared their stories of the storm with Mrs. Bush during a roundtable discussion. The Laura Bush Foundation awarded the high school with a 75-thousand dollar grant to restock the school's library books lost after Katrina.
Mrs. Bush took a tour of all the renovations made since the storm. She says she is excited with all the progress.
