NEW ORLEANS—
If you're too busy cheering on the Saints to figure out who to vote for the day before the Super Bowl, a new I-phone application may help you out.Neel Sus is making election information easily accessible. Sus is the CEO of Susco Solutions. He joined forces with Policy Pitch's Zach Kupperman to create -- ElectionHub, a free I-phone application that allows voters to follow the upcoming mayor and council election on their phones.
"You can see their platforms and everything. Who donated to them, what they spent money on and recent news, their Twitter account. You can see what they're saying," says Sus. Plus, voters can be polled everyday and they can give their own feedback as well. "People need all the information they can get to decide who to vote for."
ElectionHub is one downloadable location where voters can get information on every single candidate instead of searching a number of different websites or sources to get the latest. "To our knowledge, this is the only application of its kind that helps you see all the information for the candidates," says Sus.
ElectionHub is specific to New Orleans right now, but Sus says you'll soon be able to follow other elections in the area, the state -- even nation.
Sus says he hopes to be among the next big tech startups in the area. And if you're a Blackberry user or have another device, Sus says the mobile version of the software should be available in the next week or so.
