Two People Murdered At Iberville Housing Development
Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating the apparent shooting death of a 35-year-old male and an adult female (unknown age). The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of family members. The offense occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m., inside of an apartment in the 1400-block of Iberville Street, in the Iberville Housing Development.
According to investigators, First District officers responded to a call of a "male and female shot" and upon their arrival found the victims inside of the apartment lying on the floor with apparent multiple gunshot wounds to their bodies. Emergency medical technicians arrived on the scene and pronounced the victims dead.
During the course of the investigation, detectives learned the male victim's blue color Dodge Magnum with tinted windows, duel exhaust, factory chrome rims bearing a Texas license plate was missing.
Currently, investigators are in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) involved in this incident, as well as a motive and the whereabouts of the victim's vehicle. Homicide Detective Anthony Pardo is in charge of the investigation.
