NEW ORLEANS - Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating the alleged shooting death of a 26-year-old male killed shortly before 6:30 PM on Thursday, July 2, in 6300 block of Hayne Boulevard.

According to investigators, the victim was found by responding officers lying on the second floor balcony of an apartment complex. The body suffered from multiple gunshot wounds, and emergency medical technicians pronounced the victim dead on the scene.

Currently, officers are working on identifying the person(s) involved in this incident, as well as any possible motives.
