NEW ORLEANS—
The Hispanic Lawyers Association of Louisiana and the Louisiana Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), have collaborated on a pipeline project to furnish the A. D. Crossman Esperanza School on South Carrollton Avenue with a fully functioning library.A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Esperanza School library took place this morning.
Beautification projects at the school are going on all afternoon with the help of several volunteers including WGNO's own Vanessa Bolano.
Perez Architects volunteered to design the library layout, national/local vendors, including Microsoft, donated funds needed to develop the library.
Barnes & Noble has set-up a kiosk at the Hispanic National Bar Association Mid-Year conference in New Orleans from March 9-12, where attendees can purchase books for the Esperanza library.
The kindergarten through 8th grade school caters predominantly to the needs of Spanish-speaking students.
