Judge Assigned To Chinese Drywall Cases
A federal judge in New Orleans has been assigned to hear a batch of lawsuits against Chinese drywall manufacturers and other companies linked to the product.

Louisiana, Florida, Ohio and other states and assigns U.S. District Judge Eldon Fallon to oversee them.

The lawsuits claim Chinese-made drywall is emitting sulfur, methane and other chemical compounds that are ruining homes and harming residents' health.

The consolidated cases include about 15 suits that Louisiana-based attorney Daniel Becnel has filed in federal court in New Orleans on behalf of hundreds of homeowners.
