Three Arrests Made Following Houma Car Burglaries
HOUMA, La - Over the past month, Houma Police have observed a higher occurrence of car burglaries in West Houma. They have subsequently increased the number of road patrol and bicycle patrol officers to ensure extra surveillance during high crime hours.

Officers have also conducted extensive investigations in susceptible neighborhoods. Numerous subjects were interviewed. Following a dispatch to 908 Grinage Street, officers searched the area and discovered a large number of items reported stolen in the recent burglaries.

The recovered items were promptly returned to their owners. Detectives, using the reports collected by officers, have so far successfully arrested three individuals. Edward Stovall and Nyrary Louis have been charged with 11 counts of simple burglary, and Emanuel Miller was issued a summons for illegal possession of stolen property. Louis also had two outstanding warrants prior to his current arrest.

Police are continuing to investigate.
