NEW ORLEANS -
When you wish upon a star, if that star is Ryan Reynolds or Kate Hudson, you just might get to catch more than a passing glimpse.
A website called onlocationvacations.com reveals the latest locations where movies are shooting. The growing Hollywood South market is supplying plenty of leads. One day this week, the website listed at least three films that are under production in New Orleans and the location of the most recent shoots.
We followed the website's suggestion and found the crew of the latest Ryan Reynolds movie, Green Lantern, wrapping up a shoot at the Old Point Bar in Algiers Point.
Neighbors say Green Lantern is just the latest film crew to converge on their neighborhood, and it's also the biggest.
"It's just been getting bigger and bigger and bigger. And this one took over two blocks on either side," said neighbor Matt Byrd.
Often, movie crews like to downplay their locations; they don't want to deal with huge crowds of fans. Still, many productions post signs around the New Orleans area to help direct their crews to the correct locations.
Perhaps onlocationvacations.com is adding to the concern. But one security guard at the Green Lantern shoot told ABC26 News that fans are rarely a problem as long as they mind their manners.
"Pretty much everone's well behaved. We really don't have any issues," said security guard Matthew Browning.
