According to an article in Thursday's Miami Herald, sources said Dolphins General Manager Jeff Ireland and agent Joel Segal worked on a trade for Bush into the early morning hours of Thursday.

Bush is scheduled to make $11.8 million in 2011 under his current contract, though the Saints were reportedly set to trade or release the injury-prone tailback before having to pay the last year of his deal, reports The Sports Network.

ESPN says Bush will travel to Miami to sign the contract and make the deal official.

The Saints planned a news conference at 4 p.m. Thursday to officially christen training camp, but no official information on Bush's move has been released.
