The Krewe of Endymion has announced it will postpone it's parade and the Krewe of Tucks will move two hours earlier in an attempt to avoid strong rain & thunderstorms forecast for Saturday afternoon.
Endymion will roll immediately following Bacchus, which begins at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, and Endymion will abandon it's traditional Mid-City route and follow the standard Uptown (St. Charles Avenue) route.
Endymion's route will be slightly different in the downtown area to allow the crew to head down Loyola and disband toward the Superdome. To see the new Endymion route on a map, click the link at the left for the New Orleans Parade Schedule 2011 and click on the word "Uptown" next to the Endymion block.
The Tucks Parade will start Saturday (March 5) at 10 a.m. Followed by the Krewe of Iris at it's original start time of 11 a.m. Both parades will follow the traditional Uptown route.
Krewe of Nomtoc originally scheduled to start at 10:45 am, and will now start an hour earlier (9:45 am) and remain on its Algiers parade route.
The Krewe of Lul in Luling has canceled their parade scheduled for Saturday, according to St. Charles Parish officials.
