OPSO Escapees Captured in Florida
Sheriff Marlin Gusman announces that inmates Bryan Dunbar and Alex Lee were apprehended today by a task force led by the U.S. Marshals Service, Florida Regional Task Force, the Escambia (Fla.) County Sheriff's Office and the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office (OPCSO).

Dunbar and Lee were captured at approximately 12:30 p.m. in Pensacola, Fla. Dunbar and Lee were arrested without incident. A third subject, Cornelius Robinson, was arrested at the scene and will be charged with obstruction of justice.

The escapees have been booked into the Escambia County Jail pending their return to Orleans Parish Prison.

The OPCSO is a member of the U.S Marshals' Crescent Star Fugitive Task Force and enlisted the help of numerous law enforcement agencies in this case. The Task Force developed information over the course of the investigation that led to Dunbar and Lee's capture.

Bryan Dunbar was booked July 1, 2009, charged with simple burglary and a probation violation. Alex Lee was booked May 3, 2009, charged with numerous municipal charges and an outstanding court warrant.

The Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office will transport Dunbar and Lee to Orleans Parish Prison. Both men will be re-booked on additional charges.
