Child Murder Victim's Family Reaches Out

The family of child murder victim Ja'Shaun Powell wants to shows its sympathy and support for the family of Jeremy Galmon. Both families have suffered losses of two year old boys to violence. Powell was killed in January of 2009. Powell's father, Danny Platt was arrested. Police say he admitted to killing the toddler over issues of child support. Jeremy Galmon was killed in the backseat of his grandmother's car when he was struck by a bullet.

Shirl Solomon, the grandmother of toddler Ja'Shaun Powell can't believe another Central City toddler has been killed again. On September 26, 2010, Jeremy Galmon, also 2  years old was struck and killed by a bullet while in the backseat of his grandmother's car in broad daylight. Powell's family hopes to be able to encourage and support Galmon's family through the grieving process.
