Pictures: Hammond Emergency Workers Say Boy Saved Mom's Life
9 year old Andrew Gordon was paying close attention to his Risk Watch lessons in P.E., because he needed them when his mother collapsed unconscious one night earlier this month. The child calmly called 911 and was able to walk through all the measures necessary to keep his mother alive until help arrived, including CPR. Firefighters and EMS honored the child at his elementary school too. Hammond Fire Department came up with the Risk Watch program.

9 year old Andrew Gordon helped save his mother's life earlier this month. He had been paying close attention to lesson in his school's Risk Watch program, never realizing it would become necessary. He stayed on a 911 call doing everything possible to help his mother until emergency workers arrived. They were so impressed, that they honored the child at his school.
