It’s called Dino-Lite, and this little digital microscope is helping stylists see what’s really going on with your scalp and hair, to help them properly treat and repair. The Dino-Lite is free of charge to clients at Studio-E, which is located on Canal Street in Downtown New Orleans.
One of the most popular salon treatments at Studio-E to help smooth, shine, and de-frizz, minus the harsh chemicals, is Age Recharge by Kerastase. Dr. Mary Lupo says the Kerastase line is great for our hot and humid New Orleans weather. She says the line is great at smoothing the outer cuticle of the hair, which essentially means less frizz and more shine.
The 3 step Age Recharge treatment includes a spray, masque, and a few minutes under the Micro-Mist machine, which stylists tell us is like a facial for the hair. They say the treatment lasts about 6 weeks, and costs between $45 and $65, depending on exactly what is needed for your particular hair.
Our tester, Linda Anderson, loved the results of the treatment, and stylists were able to see a difference in the condition of her hair and scalp after just one treatment.
