Pictures: Supermarket Sweep at Rouse's
Some local celebrities - including our own Anne Cutler and Kenny Lopez - volunteered for the Supermarket Sweep: they ran up and down the aisles at the Rouses on Tchoupitoulas, filling their carts with as much as possible in 15 minutes. Everything collected will go to the Volunteers of America homeless veterans program which proves 56 local people with 3 meals a day. Kenny and Anne had an accident on the baking aisle and made a bit of a mess with the flour and sugar. In all, the volunteers collected $5,724.32 worth of food.
