Multi Media Producer - The successful candidate must be a self-starter who knows how to craft news, sports and weather stories from beginning to end. Must demonstrate the ability to independently call sources and follow-up on leads, use discretion to identify the most compelling video and sound, master the station's graphics system and use all of the available information and media to craft creative and accurate stories on-line and on air.
Will work closely with fellow producers, anchors, reporters, assignment desk personnel and Ignite control room operators to ensure technically flawless newscasts. Proficiency at editing video that matches copy preferred.
Outstanding writing skills and solid news judgment are a must. Applicant must show proven ability to produce energetic and compelling newscasts, and adjust quickly and efficiently to breaking news situations. Knowledge of successful use of social media in news coverage is required. Non-linear editing and web-posting skills are also required. Field & associate produce news stories/segments. Back time & insure editorial integrity of the program from the control room during its live presentation. Contribute story ideas for general & special assignment reporters for news broadcasts.
Ideal candidate must be familiar with web-posting, non-linear editing, and have knowledge of social media. Candidate will also understand the importance of growing and maintaining a Facebook fan page and Twitter account. At least two years of progressively responsible producing experience in a television newsroom preferred. Formal education or related experience equivalent to a degree in Journalism, Communications or related field. Valid Driver's License with good driving record. The incumbent may be required to work unconventional hours such as nights and weekends. Extended travel to remote locations for interview, production or field work may also be required.

A Digital Journalist is responsible for presentation on multiple media platforms. Strong candidates understand how news video exists on three screens (television, internet and mobile) and are able to produce all three. Candidate must generate stories with a multi-media urgency and with priority being placed on a web-first focus. Digital journalists should be adept at both hard news and features, seeking opportunities to bring stories home to our audiences.
